It's with deep sadness and fervent hope in the resurrection promised through Christ Jesus that I share with you the news that Liesl Fields passed away Saturday night. Some of you are likely surprised, because for as long as Liesl was under the diagnosis of a terminal disease, she fought and miraculously lived. Certainly she will be missed, but her continued presence among us for so many years was a credit to her will and to the will of the one who made her.

The coming weeks will be difficult, but we will gather together in support. First will be this Saturday, October 4th at 10am here at Clifton Lutheran Church (150 Humphrey St, Marblehead MA). We will share in our grief and remember the promise made to us by God thorough song, word and fellowship. A reception will follow here in our Kretzman hall.

Zoom Worship 10AM

Sample Bible Study

Consider joining us Wednesday evenings at 7:30 for Bible Study (Click the link).

We read and study scripture together with textual, historical, personal and current events shaping our conversation. Participatory and engaging, Bible Study helps us to ground our lives in Scripture and to form Biblically literate selves for a deeper walk with God.  Join us!

Preaching is very important in the Lutheran Church, and is always done from the scriptures. Our weekly sermons posted here follow the lectionary and are informed by current events, goings on in the crazy life of our pastor, congregational events, societal trends, culinary movements, historical analysis of the Lutheran witness, Marblehead high school sports, deconstructing pop music, audience interactivity and the other surprising ways the Holy Spirit leads us in conversation.  SEE MORE AT OUR FACEBOOK PAGE!
